Payment Policy
Dovetail does not release drawings or client originals until payment has been received in full. We accept cash, bank cheque or bank transfer (please provide printed receipt). We do accept personal or business cheques however cheques are required to be cleared prior to releasing drawings.
Electronic Copies of Drawings
Dovetail Drafting releases paper copies and if requested in writing at QUOTATION stage (not after Quotation has been accepted), Dovetail shall release electronic PDF copies of drawings. The client is permitted to request electronic PDF copies AFTER quotation has been accepted, however charges for printing time shall be payable by the client to Dovetail Drafting.
At no stage are electronic DWG drawings ever released.

10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Where the Consultant has designed or drawn Services for the Client, then the copyright in those designs and drawings shall remain vested in the Consultant, and shall only be used by the Client at the Consultant’s discretion.
10.2 Conversely, in such a situation, where the Client has supplied drawings, the Consultant in its sale conditions may look for an indemnity (the specifications and design of the Services (including the copyright, design right or other intellectual property in them) shall as between the parties be the property of the Consultant).
10.3 Where any designs or specifications have been supplied by the Client for manufacture, by or to the order of the Consultant then the Client warrants that the use of those designs or specifications for the manufacture, processing, assembly or supply of the Services shall not infringe the rights of any third party.
10.4 The Client warrants that all designs or instructions to the Consultant will not cause the Consultant to infringe any patent, registered design or trademark in the execution of the Client’s order.
